About Me

I am a freelance photographer who specializes in figure skating photography. As a former dancer and athlete I was drawn to photograph figure skating for its expression as much as its athleticism. Capturing moments of athletic beauty is my main motivation as a photographer. In recent years my work has also expanded to include portraits and scenic settings. I particularly enjoy capturing images of places I visit around the world. Recent destinations represented in my photography include the Czech Republic, Ireland, and Israel.

I began taking photographs in 1999. Since 2007 I have been a contributing photographer for ice-dance.com, the premier online resource for the sport of ice dance. In addition to appearing on ice-dance.com, my photos and articles have been published in Blades On Ice magazine as well as on IceNetwork.com and USFigureskating.org.

Educated in the midwest and northeast, I work full-time in international higher education in Washington, DC.
